Hello there Guido.

Thank You for this splendid gift. Is there any chance of reuploading Mozart symphonies as conducted by R. Strauss? I get the first part just before "Megaupload" was closed. I'm also waiting for all of the Toscanini's being reuploaded for it is the most magnificent collection of the vintage recordings(that Wagner stuff...).
Thank You for all Tou've done and in advance for all the gifts that are upcoming

Regards

fantastic live recording of the last pre-anschlüss Salzburg 'Die Zauberflöte'. i own it on CDs released by The40s label. incredible duet of Papageno and Papagena. recording to listen and cherish, though the sound is... as it could be recorded live in 1937.

@аффтор

Thanks for your comment!
Yesss I like too very much this magic flute! And AT was very satisfied with the cast (I've included a letter in the rar archive)

@Adam
Before beginning the reupload of Rare AT on mediafire or anywhere else I have to see how the situation evolves...
About Strauss I'll try to settle in the coming days!

cheers
Guido

Thanks! I already have this performance in a muddy-sounding Melodram set, but your transfer, although derived from the same lo-fi material, is much clearer with greater detail and is much more enjoyable, as it helps to convey Toscanini's approach to the score.

Thank you also for this treasure, Guido. THis site Blog is different from so many others for the choice of rarities one can find in it. A great service to cultured music!
