This was IIRC Bernstein's last tour with the NYPO as their Music Director.
I was at the last concert, at the Royal Festival Hall in London, a week or so after this. The programme, again IIRC, was Haydn 88, Harris 3 and the Berlioz, although I did feel that he pushed parts, such as the end of Un Bal, too hard, so that even the NYPO strings couldn't really keep up.

So I am REALLY looking forward to this.
many thanks.
Wow - Your stream of undiscovered treasures is just endless! Thank you again Guido.
Many thanks. Love early Lennie. Late Lennie got too slow. Tilson Thomas said that he seemed to love the music so much that he couldn't let it go.
