Schumann Symphonies 1&4 + Piano Concerto - Keilberth
Really, really special readings of Schumann 1&4 by the young Keilberth.
Fresh, impetuous, full of life and energy.

I didn't know how else to reach you:
I especially thank you for the big Tosca issue; the Tebaldi, Prandelli Verdi Requiem and the Bechi, Valletti, Gati Il Barbieri.
What a feast! Thank you.
Is there any chance you have or know where to get this:
Giordano: Andrea Chenier (excerpts)
Tebaldi/Del Monaco/Silveri/Barbieri
Orchestra and Chorus of La Scala
Victor de Sabata
6.3.1949
with deep gratitude,
Bob
@ Hi Robin. I've answered you in the De Sabata post
Thank you very much for this!
If you are interested, I recently worked on a compilation of 78 era Keilberth, including this same Schumann 4th, but have not yet posted it on my blog or anywhere else. I had some misgivings about some off-center sides that I could not correct on the setup used, but the sound I feel is much better, imho, aside from that issue. I haven't hunted down discographic info, but there's also the following:
Mozart Symphony No. 30 in D, K. 302
Beethoven Coriolan Overture
Reger Boecklin Suite (from a French 78 copy, I previously have posted it from an American Capitol 45 rpm copy)
Hope you enjoy!
