I have been looking in vain for the recent version by Tortelier narrated by Sir David Attenborough. You don't happen to have plans to upload this as well, do you?

Hi, dear Schubert.

I'm sorry, but the "philosophy" of the blog is to provide only old recordings (or, sometimes, live not on CD). I've many others Pet&Wol, but too recent to be uploaded here.

Interesting topic! I'm glad to read Golovanov's name, a favorite conductor even if I have only very few of his recordings and I'm looking for his Sheherazade, that must be something special.

PS: sai per caso quali altre incisioni in italiano esistono, oltre a Benigni?

Schubert said...

Fair enough. It was given free with the BBC Music magazine, but I can't find online anywhere...yet. Thanks anyway!

Ciao Woland

http://www.filestube.com/e6ae371a95e63fc003e9/go.html

In questi giorni ascolterò Dario Fo.

Grazie ancora.

I am loving these uploads - both of your fabulous volumes have set me looking at others. Here are a couple that might be considered perhaps for a future (?) anthology:

Oda Slobodskaya (narr in English) with the Colonne Orchestra conducted by Isaie Disenhaus
Fidelio ATL4102 (mono LP) 1964

(thanks to the original postee)

Akio Jissoji (narr in Japanese) with the Boston Symphony Orchestra conducted by Seiji Ozawa (RCA Japanese pressing) 1992

(thanks to original postee)

Cheers

Thank you for posting these! I was given the David Frankin/L' Orchestre de L' Association Des Concerts Colonne version for my second birthday and along the way the LP was lost. I am very excited to find a copy here. Plus I will enjoy listening to the other versions you have posted. Many thanks
